    • 花格海味在2007年輕啟紅幕,在馬公市區民福路上問世,這是一家強調澎湖在地海鮮與創新冰製加工技術的澎湖水產專賣店。花格的店面雖新,歷史卻古老,花格海味的阿忠小老闆是家中從事魚販事業的第四代,花格所在地附近的第二漁港,則是阿忠父輩以上三代過去50年間從事大盤魚販的地方。
    • 過往50年,阿忠的祖父到父親這三代每日清晨便活躍於第二漁港,挑選魚貨、採購、分類、加工、然後將澎湖的美味海鮮寄送到台灣的大客戶手中,擦亮澎湖海鮮美味的招牌。隨著第二漁港的沒落,家中事業也傳繼到阿忠的肩上,同樣一清早6點不到,只是地點換成了現今澎湖魚貨集散的第三漁港,阿忠活躍於漁船間乾淨力落地挑揀、喊價、採購澎湖當日到位的活海鮮,只是在2007年,除了繼承祖父以降的大盤魚販家業外,阿忠有了新的理想開始醞釀、並已然實現。
    • 花格海味正是阿忠轉型家業的第一步,把過往50年漁港打滾的知識運用在創新技術上,阿忠把澎湖海鮮加以加工料理、冷凍、真空包裝,製作成適宜攜帶郵寄與送禮,成為花格的主要商品。阿忠打算給祖傳的家業一個乾淨舒適的店面,以招呼來往的顧客,於是他從設計、規劃、取材都不假他人,獨自打造了花格海味的典雅舒適店面,店內精巧細緻的裝飾都發自阿忠的巧思,就連門口印上花格海味四字的漂流木也是阿種從湖西裡正角海邊扛回家的。
    • 「花格」(翻成台語唸成”輝給”為澎湖當地口音) 意旨玳瑁石斑魚,為澎湖的縣魚;,阿忠以花格為店名顯見對於澎湖海鮮的死心塌地與自信,花格海味將可成為板友來澎湖購買海鮮的寶地之一。
