- 別看老闆娘”春ㄟ”燒得一手澎湖在地家常菜，就以為她是土生土長的澎湖人，其實老闆娘是從台灣嫁到澎湖來的「台籍新娘」喔！算算榕園開店26年，在當時澎湖美女拼命往台灣”發展”的年代，老闆娘逆勢操作大概跌破一堆人眼鏡吧！我問她當時怎麼會想嫁來澎湖，老闆娘還打趣的說：「誰叫我愛上澎湖海產啦！沒辦法！」
- 老闆娘嫁為人婦後，想以澎湖海產為業，便以天生的燒菜功夫，鑽研澎湖海產的菜色及口味，並開了榕園，剛開始專做通梁人生意，但老闆娘用料實在、價錢公道，為人又親切健談，一傳十、十傳百，榕園也漸漸有了名氣，吸引不少公務員來此品嚐佳餚；後來澎湖觀光業發達，加上榕園是白沙西嶼少數幾家餐廳之一，因此有許多遊客特地到榕園品嚐海鮮，但因為店面過於狹小，無法容納過多觀光人潮，一些手腳較慢或者沒有電話預約的遊客，只能望著店內美味的海鮮合菜興嘆了。
- 榕園目前除了老闆娘、一個10幾年前便在店內幫忙炒菜的好朋友兼員工，以及偶爾幫忙客人點菜的女兒共三人外，並沒有其他人手，而且老闆娘漸有年歲，體力不如前，並不想把榕園生意做大，因此休息時間也從原來的晚上8點，縮短至現在的下午2點，店面也維持原貌，並沒有擴張的打算，樂天知足的個性展露無疑。
