錠鉤嶼位於東經119.40.58-119.41.19度、北緯23.35.23-23.35.37度之間，面積0.0386平方公里，周圍1.6364公里。錠鉤嶼為澎湖玄武岩自然保留區，島上玄武岩景觀素有「小桂林」之稱。附近海域海洋資源豐富、夏季紅燕鷗等夏候鳥在此棲息繁殖，是賞鳥者的天堂。冬季本島盛產紫菜，是舊奎壁澳附近村落的一項財源。近年來觀光業發達，錠鉤嶼已成為東北海旅遊必經之地。
